March 20 - WE MADE IT!!! 25 years ago today I got hitched to the #1 lady on the planet (aka My Lovely Bride), and I consider each and every day since to have been the BEST days of my life! One tiny note I'd like to make - there were numerous folks who commented that this marriage of beauty and the beast "would never last." Haha - our marriage has outlived all of them (oops, sorry, but it is true). We wish they were all still alive to celebrate with us... THANK YOU for sharing this par of our journey with us... (25 down, another 25+ to go)

March 6 - warm and windy, moist ground from 1/2" of rain this week, but not enough rain for runoff and waterfalls yet. WILD PLUM trees are BLOOMING and their aroma is OH SO GRAND!

March 3 - Blood Moon Eclipse - early today. My alarm was set for 4:30am, but I was up at about 3:30 - it turns out bright moonlight shining into the bedroom woke me up. That was GREAT NEWS because it was supposed to be CLOUDY and moonlight was a GREAT sign! I got up, sipped a half cup of Iceland Coffee, then held my breath for the next 90 minutes hoping clear skies continued until 5 when the full phase of the Blood Moon Eclipse was to begin. It did, I got the above photo, and I was a HAPPY CAMPER - YEA!!!

 

MARCH 2 - a cool 40 degrees and quite FROGGY at first light today - and for once in a week this is actual beautiful fog and not choking forest fire smoke - it is a pleasure to suck this moist air deep into my lungs! HAPPY MONDAY TO YOU!
