Little Bluff Cabin Cam May 28 - the photos above were taken only seconds apart, but oh what a difference it makes... CLOUDY with rain showers today - maybe another inch (we've only had 1/2 inch so far this week but the ground seems to be getting saturated) - let's go RAIN!!!

Little Bluff Cabin cam - May 24 - the "Honeymoon Cabin" along Cave Mountain Road on the way to the NEW Hawksbill Crag Trailhead. We used to own this rustic cabin that's part log and part "modern" (we sold it many years ago). It used to be in pretty good shape, but one by one folks have stolen doors and windows, and along with that the tin on the roof has been blowning off - at first just one panel, but now several are gone and the elements are moving in and slowly taking over - probably not too long before the old girl gives up and falls in. (There's a cobblestone floor in the old kitchen which is behind that open doorway in the log part of the structure - photo below of the stones that are left.)

Little Bluff Cabin cam - May 23 - kinda foggy this morning but it's clear blue skies above. Predictions of 5" or more of rainfall this week were way off - we've only had 1.5" all week. Oh well, HAPPY SATURDAY TO YOU! (the gallery will be open all weekend...)

 

05/15/26 - Here's a gravel bar bear and several vultures (upper left - look how big they are compared to the bear), hanging out WAAAY down below us along the Buffalo River today (we were on top of Peter Cave Bluff). HAPPY FRIDAY to you!

05/22/26 - LOTS of wild hogs running around the High Ozarks these days - this band had more than 30, and they were still coming out of the woods and crossing the road!
